6 Months!

The big guy is 6 months old today! Holy cow, I can't believe it. He is a completely different baby than he was 3 months ago. He was no easy newborn, fussing pretty much ALL THE TIME. But now, he is just all smiles and happiness. I wouldn't say he is 'easy' b/c he requires constant movement and motion, but he's happy, so momma is happy too!
A few little tid bits about him at 6 months:
*He is still not sleeping through the night. He does his long sleep right after he goes down for the night, and it last about 4 hours. After that, he is up every 3 hours. He wakes up starving and acts as if he hasn't eaten in days. I've heard this is pretty normal with boys, they are just hungry all the time :)

*He is so VERY attached to his wubbanub. (The giraffe attached to his pacifier) So attached that it needs a good washing, but I'm a bit nervous about the 2 hours away from him that it would require. I'll brave it someday.
*He has just started eating baby food, and so far, isn't very interested. And I'll just put it out there: I'm not a fan of the 'baby food' stage. There is no way to not make a mess. It's on everything, in everything, blah. But it won't be long before he'll be eating table food, so it's alright with me.
*He is more quiet when lots of people are around, but when its just us- he loves talking.
*Shark Tales is his favorite movie. I approve (and not just bc Will Smith's voice is the leading character)for the most part except for the less than 10 seconds during it when it plays "I like big butts"...I guess I'm okay until he's talking though.
*He is rolling over and pretty much sitting up. I can lay him down while he is awake for naps and he will go to sleep on his own. He still loves his baths, and prefers to be naked or with a diaper only...haha I would apologize to my mother for giving her so much grief over all the half-clothed pictures of me and my sisters, but I'm pretty sure we are going to kick Valin's naked habit BEFORE HE'S IN KINDERGARTEN :)
*He loves standing, and would prefer it over any other position. He climbs up on you when you try to hold him. He is quite the climber :)

I am so happy to have spent the last 6 months with him! Such a blessing to me!
